The attempt to reproduce a starry sky is very old . In the ancient past, people devoted to astronomy have observed the sky with care and precision; both in order to draw omens and predictions about life's everyday events and then for more practical motives, like a more precise calendar. Parallel to this was born the need to represent the appearance of the night sky, for  religious matters and,

above all,  for artistic reasons, in which I found  my inspiration.   The night sky,  combined with the age-old tradition of Venetian cartographic gave me the push I needed to undertake this work, which lasted more than a year. Through this grueling artistic challenge, I tried greatly to maintain the profile "astronomical - astrological" after a thorough study of everything that has ever been plotted over the centuries.  I concentrated on a detailed mapping of the celestial world globe on a big round blown piece of Murano glass entirely covered with pure 24 carat gold leaf.  By adopting this technique of "graffito-oro" and enamels, I  clearly favored the ' artistic aspect of these luminous constellations that, in addition to guiding travelers by land and sea , inspired philosophers and poets.  Their shine continues to enchant me from the depths of outer space .
